All About Julie

Hey, everyone!

I’m Julie, a 22 year-old graduate student studying integrated marketing communications.  I started this blog as a requirement of one of my classes: Emerging Media & the Market.

As far as schooling, I graduated from a small school in northern West Virginia — Bethany College.  I majored in communication with a print track.  Plus, I earned a minor in Spanish.  But, earning a BA wasn’t enough for me.  I decided to further my education at West Virginia University and pursue a Master’s Degree in Integrated Marketing Communications.

One of my favorite things to do is travel.  I’ve visted quite a few of the fifty states in the United States and been to a handful of foreign countries.  I’ve visited Canada, Mexico, Hondorus, Belize, Panama and the Bahamas.  I’m going back to Mexico in the Spring and I’m really excited.  Most of the countries I’ve visited speak Spanish and that is no coincidence.  I minored in Spanish as an undergraduate.  As for the future, I can’t wait to explore Europe and more of Central America.

I couldn’t live without music in my life.  I listen to mostly country, rock and rap.  The best thing about music is that it’s there for me, no matter what kind of mood I’m in at the time.  I love live music.  I’ve been to tons of concerts, but my favorite is Jamboree in the Hills.  It’s a four day country music festival with camping, friends, and fun.  It really doesn’t get any better than that.

I’m a pretty simple girl.  I am exploring all life has to offer right now.  I recently moved out of my parent’s house to live with three amazing roommates.  They’ve been great at showing me around and introducing me to new people.  It’s been interesting to be living on my own.

Well, I think that’s enough for now.  Check back for more information later 🙂

Signing off,

JULiE
